I'm Piers, a product and brand strategist, creative thinker, and the founder of Studio Us. I have spent over 20 years leading product, brand and marketing teams across some genuinely exciting businesses from surfing waves, skydiving wind tunnels, launching the world's first smart app-connected cat flap to directing a $125M connected technology portfolio.
Here's what I know...
...A great idea, properly interrogated and honestly stress-tested, is where most of the value in any project is created. Everything after that; the execution, the decisions, the direction all flow from that clarity.
I started Studio Us because I wanted to offer my experience in thinking differently, with people like you, building things they care about. Not as a consultant with a playbook, but as a collaborator who gets into the detail of your world and finds out what makes you tick and ultimately the questions nobody else thought to ask.

The One+ Chair
Okay so here is the deal, I'm 189cm and 118kg. For those who don't know me or can't imagine what that actually means, I'm a relatively tall and big guy. Run 3x a week and play badminton so no slouch but I am also never going to be blown over in a strong wind.
Last summer I broke 2 different camp chairs!
Not something I thought I would be sharing with you all, but it wasn't the first time either. At 118kg most chairs on the market today in the UK are rated to 102-110kg so fall short of even just me sitting on them. Throw into the mix I have a 6yr old son and well, the chairs just aren't up to the job!
Fed up with products that just dont support the needs (yes that was bad I know) of a father and growing son. Studio Us first product will be what I am affectionately calling portable furniture, a chair that is up to the task and will provide the opportunity for Woody (that's my son) and I to continue creating memories together. Strong, durable and capable of keeping up this chair isn’t a light weight, cheap, fast collapsing item but it is one that you will use time and time again.
